Guess who I saw this weekend! My roommate from France!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! I haven’t seen her in over 4 months! (That’s about the same amount of time we spent in France … it’s been too long). The saddest part is that she’s over at UMCP, and yeah, yeah, we’re totally separate schools, but still, she’s only a half hour away … I feel like such a bad friend! Anywho, I drove down to visit her there and we went out to lunch at what she referred to as a “Jewish deli” but turned out to be this awesome little Middle Eastern- American fusion place. I’m almost got a corned beef on rye, but luckily I remembered that I can always go to Broadway Market in Baltimore for that (what can I say, I’m a little bit Polish) and I ordered a shwarma instead …. DELICIOUS! (I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m writing this before lunch and reminiscing, haha).
On a more serious note, I really miss my French roomie. The last time I saw her before this was when she helped me lug my excessively large suitcases to the bus station. This is a picture from our last week in Aix:
Moi et Delphine
It was just so nice to take a break from classes and work and all of the other things going on in my life here in the states and spend a few hours remembering our fun times in France. We talked about our favorite pizza (Pizza Capri, mmmmmm!) and I thought about my old walk to school. It was such a short walk, but there is always so much to see in French streets!
That’s all for now, but I’m sure there’ll be more fun French memories and until then, au revoir!
