It’s HOMECOMING time!!! Well, actually that was this weekend … but what a weekend! On Thursday night, we got out of work early and I went to the BBQ and Bonfire with my roomies and got FREE SHIRTS (:-D).
Then on Friday, I went to the Talent Show. As usual, everyone at UMBC is totally uber talented, haha. One guy that I was an OPA for a few years back plays guitar and totally rocks. He does things I didn’t even know you could do with a guitar; it’s like guitar/percussion/everything! He won last year, but it was still impressive to see him again! One of my friends did this trick of walking on her hands … there were a lot of random cool talents …
Saturday, I got to meet a lot of my Honors Forum team members’ families. I’d totally forgotten about the reception until one of the other team leaders called me with a question … so much for being the head team leader, haha (this is how I know that there really is no difference between us, I just do more work, lol). After that, I went out to buy stuff for my Halloween costume (pumpkin, hehe) and got back just in time for the Jim Gaffigan comedy show. He was HILARIOUS! A lot of his jokes were the same as on YouTube, but there were a bunch I hadn’t heard before. The best part was that it only cost $10! All of his other shows in the area are totally sold out and they all sold for over $40!!!
To top off the weekend, I went to a party at my friend’s apartment. I’ve been so busy recently that I haven’t had time to hang out with my friends, much less party, so it was nice to just hang out and relax and just be a college kid for a little bit instead of a stressed-out senior! I used to party all the time freshman, sophomore, and junior year …. now I barely have time to sleep!
