Happy Belated Halloween! If there is one holiday this campus loves, it is Halloween. We start celebrating a week before and keep going until a week later. I never feel like I’ve wasted my time on a costume here since I generally end up wearing it about a MILLION times (plus, last year I won the Admissions Office Costume Contest -woo)!
Not to mention the fact that probably half of our on-campus parties are costume theme parties (Gods/ Goddesses, Toga, The Village People, This Party Brought to You by the Letter S … you name it!) Sophomore and Junior year I probably spent a good portion of every week trying to come up with awesome costumes for the weekend parties, haha. (Days of my life I’ll never get back, but I just can’t resist a discount!)
You already know about the Halloween Hangover Party, but two nights ago I also went to the Honors College Council Halloween Costume Party. It was really fun. A bunch of my freshman were there AND a bunch of upperclassmen and alums were there too! We made a maze and played games and did silly painting projects and just got pumped up on waaaaaay too much sugar and just acted like kids, hehe! Abi and I went a crazy with the glittery hair spray and got a little light-headed (we spent a long time trying to take pictures capturing the glorious glitteriness of our hair–with not much success … glitter’s not really that photogenic, lol).
Yesterday, Halloween itself, my roomies went clubbing at Fishbowl (I was supposed to go, but I was ill … boo hoo, sniffle, sniffle). Still, my roommate/ Facebook Wife (last year we were a German couple; she wore lederhosen and I wore a dirndle, haha) is an alum and I don’t get to see her that often and she came down to go clubbing with us! Even though I wasn’t feeling so hot and couldn’t go with them, it was awesome to see her and catch up! Plus, I couldn’t really resist getting group pics of us in our costumes (and then changing back into my PJs right away)!
